Thesis Title: Transinsularity in the Northeastern Caribbean

I completed my doctorate degree in Social Anthropology using Visual Media at the University of Manchester in 2007. My doctoral dissertation was an ethnographic account of the role that discourses and practices indicative of movement play in the constitution of island social spaces in the Caribbean. I produced an ethnographic documentary from my PhD research called “Mangrove Music”, which has been screened at 10 international film festivals.

I am currently working on producing an ethnographic documentary that will address transnational social fields between France, Benelux, and Burkina Faso.
