About
I am a Social Anthropologist trained at the universities of Buenos Aires (Lic) and Manchester (MA, PhD), and have done postdoctoral research at University College Dublin. I currently occupy the Chair of Social and Cultural Anthropology at Tallinn University.
My overarching research interest is the interface between religion and politics in the making of the modern world. More particularly, the interaction of Christianity and nation making in statecraft processes. I have done ethnographic fieldwork in Ireland, Northern Ireland, and among Old Colony Mennonites and reformed anabaptists in Argentina and Bolivia.
